It's Show Day!!
We can't wait to see you all perform beautifully on that stage, there is just a few things you/your grown ups need to know first to make the day run as smoothly as possible!
On Arrival
- Please arrive in your first costume, with Hair and Makeup done. We will only have a very limited number of people around to help with hair/makeup, so it is your responsibility to ensure this is completed before you arrive.Please reach out to friends/family to help with any bits you are unable to do. If you absolutely cannot do this at home, please give us a heads up before show day so we know who we will be expecting to sort at the venue.
- You must make your way to the stage door at your specified arrival time and sign in. You/your child will then be directed to thier dressing area by one of our chaperones.
What to Bring
- You will arrive in your first costume, however if you are in multiple numbers, please ensure you have all costumes/accessories with you, including any extra items you have been asked to provide.
- You must bring extra clothes with you, a onesie/oodie/dressing gown is a good idea to bring to pop on over costumes when eating or drinking in the breaks. You will also need a change of clothes to leave in as costumes and accessories will be collected back at the end of the show day. (This may seem an obvious request but trust us...it has happened in the past!)
- You/your child will need a packed lunch/tea and plenty of snacks to keep them going throughout the day. It is super important that you pack plenty of nutritous, filling and slow energy burning food such as rice/pasta, lots of fruits and veggies and plenty of water to drink. Please keep in mind that your child will be with us for almost 8hrs on show day, so they need enough food and drink to sustain them. We have a strict NO NUTS policy as we have children & staff with severe allergies. This is not a risk we will take lightly, and any such products found will be disposed of.
- Children MUST NOT bring any valuables/electricals such as ipads/tablets/phones ect. and are not permitted to have anything with photo/video taking capabilities. This is incredibly important for safegaurding. If any of these types of belongings are found, they will be confiscated and given back to the parent at the end of the day.
- Please also ensure all peronal belongings are clearly named. We will have a lot of people backstage on show day, and it is you/your childs responsibility to keep track of their belongings.
Collection at The End of Show Day
- When collecting your child at the end of the day, please wait outside the Stage Door Entrance Area away from the ramp and your child will be signed out by staff. Please ensure you are not all crowding round the bottom of the ramp, our staff need to be able to see you to dismiss your child. Collection needs to run as smoothly as possible and we need to ensure everyone is signed out back to a parent/guardian. We will be aiming to get our youngest dancers out first, but this is not a gaurantee.
Please Carefully check the Show Day schedule, linked under the title of this page, to ensure you know exactly what time you/your child need to arrive. Please find your childs CLASS on the schedule and this will determine your arrival time.
