One Parent/Guardian must attend and is responsible for looking after their child(ren) whilst waiting for your performance slots, in the waiting area(s). When your rehearsal slot has finished, you are free to leave. Please also take ALL belongings and rubbish with you. This also applies if you have large gaps between rehearsals – but you must sign out and sign back in, in time for your next slot.
This will be the first opportunity for the teachers to see the show in full as it will run on show day. It is vital for the participants to practice spacing, entrances, exits and performances with props and prompts. Please remember that this is the ONLY opportunity to rehearse the full show before Technical Rehearsal & Show Day.
You must make your way to the reception desk and sign in. You will then be directed to a studio waiting area by one of our helpers. When needed you will be called in your group for performance. Only staff and participants are permitted in the main studio area (Upstairs Studio 1), we don’t wish to spoil the surprise! Please keep quiet and respect those who are rehearsing.
Costumes do not need to be worn to the full run through. Please wear your normal dancewear and correct dance shoes/footwear. Plenty of layers to keep you warm whilst waiting. Drinks/snacks/things to keep you occupied (no photos or videos are permitted to be taken for safeguarding reasons). Refreshments will still be available to purchase from reception. No glass or sticky food/drink is permitted in the studios.
We have kept these reasonably flexible as some dance numbers take longer than expected, some take less time than expected. As always, we appreciate your patience.
